SESSION ANNOUNCEMENTS concerning the Election of New Deacons
We have conducted several meetings with our all five deacon nominees, going over the vows and commitments required of a deacon and covering much of the materials they are responsible for. The session plans to interview all five on Saturday, April 30th . Then we want to have a joint gathering on Wednesday, May 4th , at 6:30 pm, with wives present also. This will enable wives to learn something about what their husband will be entering into.

All current officers and their wives with the five nominees and wives are invited. This meeting will replace the normal Wednesday meetings for that evening.

The Session will announce those men who will stand for election to the office of Deacon on Sunday, May 1st. Also at that time we will officially announce the congregational meeting for the election of deacons to be after worship on Sunday, June 5th .

After the election we will schedule a special worship service in which the men will be ordained as deacons. All of these things we believe to be in keeping with our constitutional standards and helpful to the church.

Please join your current officers in earnest prayer that the Lord will clearly guide us all through this important process.

FlockNote Registration: The church will increasingly move toward using the FlockNote system for church communication. If you have not become part of the system, please do so. Speak to Ray Cyr with any questions

Kitchen Renovation: It is scheduled to start in early May. Because of this we will not schedule any Wednesday evening meals in May. For May, we have the special meeting on the 4th with deacon candidates and their wives. Then for the 11th , 18th, and 25th, we will conduct our Pioneer Club, Youth and Adult meetings, starting at 6:30 and ending about 7:30. There will be no Wednesday meetings in June and perhaps some of July. We will plan to start again toward the end of July.

Prayer for the Nations: which was held on the evenings of the 1st and 3rd Sundays of a month is being discontinued. The Session will continue to consider how best we might use our Lord’s Day evenings.

Graduates Recognized: We want to recognize the accomplishments of the graduates in the congregation. At this point we only know of Caryss Connor. If you know of others, please let one of your elders know.

Sweet Mondays: We gather next on Monday, May 2 at 6:30 at the Connor home.

Nursery Coordinator Needed: We are seeking a replacement for this very important position. Please see Candace A. with any questions.
